Why volunteer? Because we know God has given everyone a variety of gifts to be used to benefit those around them. We also know that the Body of Christ is best exemplified when others are actively using their gifts to expand His Kingdom. We encourage all those who call Washington Heights their family to get involved at some level knowing it will change themselves and others. We have compiled six general categories that encompass a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for you to take part in.
Do you enjoy singing, performing, and taking photos? Do enjoy being part of creative and technical teams? If so, this might be the perfect place for you to get involved.
Creative & Performing Arts

Do you enjoy projects and hanging out at church? Do you enjoy general maintenance, painting and carpentry? Can you set up a room or stack chairs? If so, this is a great area where you can serve.

Are you interested in being used by God to connect with Nursery through 5th grade children? Are you able to love, mentor and build relationships with teenagers?
Kidz Crossing birth through grade 5
- Caring for infants
- Teaching, playing, reading in small groups
- Special Friends for children with disabilities
- Skit Actors for large group time
- Musicians
- Creative Arts: Puppets, crafts, games for all age groups
- AWANA: game helpers and small group leaders
Washington Heights Student Ministry grades 6th-12th
- Sunday Morning Leaders
- Small Group Leaders on Wednesday’s

Do you like to be a part of large gatherings? Do you like to cook, serve and/or clean? Do you enjoy visiting those in need? If so, we would love to have you serve with us.
- Bereavement Receptions: donate or serve food.
- Help host weddings and receptions on campus.
