students | Oasis (grades 9-12)

oasis

Oasis seeks to be just that: an Oasis for students in grades 9-12.  It is a place to rest, be refreshed by God’s Word, build healthy relationships, and draw closer to Jesus.  It is our hope that as we minister to students, this becomes a fun and supportive environment for youth to learn more about what it means to experience God’s grace and transforming power and how to faithfully follow Jesus. However, our faith shines through not in how much time we spend at church but in how we live outside of it.  We do our best to make sure that Oasis is a place where students are refreshed and encouraged.  Our greatest hope is that students would take what they experience at Oasis and live it out in all areas of their lives.  An oasis is a great place to stop a while and be refreshed, but only for the purpose of being able to continue on with God on the Journey.

Our mission is: to help 9th-12th grade students and their families experience together, God's grace and transforming power, one life at a time.  In Oasis, our goal is to make sure everything we do helps high school students and parents walk with Jesus in a very real way.  We meet twice as a large group each week: on Sundays at 10:20 am, we hang out, have some snacks, play games, and hear a challenging message about Jesus and how he relates to our everyday lives.  On Wednesday nights during the school year, we meet at 6:30 pm for games and a short message, then break up into small groups by grade and gender to really dig into what we’ve been learning about and build great relationships with one another.  We also have several other small groups that meet throughout the week as well as monthly events.  For more information contact Angie Mood at (801) 479-7030.
