Special events happen frequently throughout the year.  They often are environments where one can experience fun, fellowship, laughter and belonging in a large group setting.  Listed below are some of the largest and most well known special events that we as a church experience every year.

The Gathering Place features a special guest speaker and music in addition to a great opportunity to connect with other women over a luncheon or dinner meal. The purpose of these events is to introduce our guests to a relationship with Jesus, bring an encouraging message of God’s grace and transforming power, and to lift our spirits.

fall craft fairFall Craft Fair - The Fall Craft Fair is held once a year and serves as a type of neighborhood block party to welcome our community to the Washington Heights campus. The Craft Fair is a boutique environment which provides an opportunity for crafters from within our church and surrounding community to share their talents and interact with each other.

sunday morning traditional serviceChristmas Theater - Christmas Theater is an annual music and drama production designed to be both a celebration and to help people understand God through the arts. The program is performed several times over a two-week period and many venues available. Some of the performances include elegantly decorated tables with a four-course dinner while others offer a more family friendly casual dinner or dessert option. Each of the performances includes the theatrical production, live music and food. It is a great opportunity to invite friends for a special evening of remembering Christ’s birth as we enter the Christmas season. December 8-11, 2011.

christmas eve candlelight servicesChristmas Eve Candlelight Services - We offer a number of different service times on December 24 to celebrate Jesus’ birth.  The services are identical, and they include live music, a brief message, candle-lighting, and a reflective atmosphere.  During this special evening together, we celebrate Jesus’ coming to earth, being born as a baby.
