Life is hard and often times we are in need of speaking with someone. With this in mind, Washington Heights offers a variety of counseling services for you or someone you know. Our desire is that you receive the help you need in the times when you need it most.
Pastoral Counseling
Our pastors are available to provide a variety of counseling services. However, they are not licensed as professional therapists but are highly skilled regarding the Bible, spiritual issues, interpersonal relationships, spiritual direction and prayer. If you wish to speak with a pastor, please contact the church office at 801.479.7030. If after hours, you may contact the pastor on call at 801.458.4747.
Professional Counseling
Washington Heights has compiled a list of local Christian counselors that have experience dealing with a variety of issues regarding marital issues, children, adolescent, adult mental health, depression, domestic violence treatment, and many others. These counselors are professional licensed therapists and are trusted by Washington Heights Church. Click here to download therapist information.
Pre-Marital Counseling
It is our desire that your individual life and your relationship as a couple will be positively impacted by the premarital counseling experience!
We offer a pre-marital class entitled: "Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts," a comprehensive marriage program by Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott. Couples that are currently dating, engaged or newlyweds are encouraged to attend. Pre-marital counseling is also offered for couples. If you would like to be married at WHBC or desire a Washington Heights minister to officiate your wedding ceremony, completion of our premarital counseling program or the "Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts" is recommended. Our premarital counseling is offered to members and non-members of Washington Heights.
