Hearing From God
We are very excited about this journey that we are embarking on together. We are at a defining moment in the life of our church. Washington Heights has been through many interesting experiences over the past 50+ years. We appreciate all of you who have served and volunteered over the years. We would not be where we are now without your service, sacrifice and faithfulness to the Lord.
We believe that right now is a great time for all of us to dig deeper into what God has for us. The whole congregation will journey together in a quest to hear from God. We know God wants to speak to us, and if we will take the time and be intentional about listening, we are confident that we will all hear His voice. In John 10, Jesus described His followers as “those who hear my voice, and I know them and they know me.” This is our prayer– that we would hear the voice of God and know Him through it.
Throughout this journey, everyone will have a journal guiding us as we study along with the sermon messages each week. In this journal, we’ll have an opportunity to write down our thoughts and the things God is saying to us. The journals are available at the church.
At the end of this journey, we would like everyone to fill out a Response Card indicating how God has spoken to you and how He would have you participate in “Reaching New Heights.” So come along on this journey, and let’s determine in our hearts to do whatever it is that God speaks to us over the next several weeks and beyond!
