Reaching New Heights
“And may you have the power to understand…how wide, how long, how high, and how deep (God’s) love is.” Ephesians 3:18 NLT
This is going to be a landmark year for our church family. After many years of praying, planning and waiting, we are about to take our next step in expanding our ministry. God has led Washington Heights from its inception to present day and He is still at work.
We are planning construction and renovations that will help facilitate increased ministry to the community and our world in so many ways. We will further create ministry environments that will help us who are here – and those who are not here – to live our purpose: experiencing together God’s grace and transforming power…one life at a time.
To accomplish that purpose, we value the following pursuits as a definition of who we are:
- Intimacy with God – we were made to know, to love, and follow our great God.
- Biblical foundation – the best life we can experience is lived under God’s authority.
- Authentic community – relationship with each other transforms the human heart in God’s direction.
- Relational outreach – God calls us to share His good news with our area and our world.
This upcoming journey to discover what God has for us will allow us to live out our purpose and express our values more than ever. We look forward to March 7th, Vision Sunday, as we will share the vision with the entire Washington Heights family! We will then journey together for six weeks by intentionally focusing on hearing from God. Our journey will culminate on Sunday, April 11th, as we celebrate together and share how God has answered our prayers.
