adults | Large Group Bible Studies

about | why we exist

Bible Studies are the next step for anyone eager to read, study, and apply God's unchanging Word to their life. They are not just about head knowledge, but about putting feet to your faith and heart to your action. We want to help individuals develop maturity in Christ and an understanding of Biblical Christianity. This is so important in the life of a Christ-follower that we have made it one of our Core Values at Washington Heights - building on a Biblical Foundation.

The large group format varies by study and range from group discussions and DVD to a live lecture with Q&A. Studies are available throughout the week:

Sunday at 10:30 am:

  • Judi & Alan Abdulla lead an in-depth study of the Bible through topical studies, as well as, biblical studies.

This study is open and you may join at any time. Childcare is available through Kidz Crossing.

Tuesday at 9:30 am or 6:30 pm:

  • Judi Abdulla leads a Precept Upon Precept class featuring a book of the Bible. Free childcare is available for the morning session only, but children must be registered.

Wednesday at 6:30 pm: (Resumes January 2012)

  • Judi Abdulla leads Fresh Start, a study designed for people who may come from various backgrounds or who are new to Utah’s culture. This class is open to all. Using the Bible as the standard for doctrinal truth, this study examines basic teachings of historic Christianity and helps develop an understanding of how these truths affect our lives. The distinct differences between these teachings and other religions are explored in an open and respectful atmosphere.

Thursday at 9:30 am or 6:30 pm:

  • We offer a variety of Bible studies including Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer and Kay Arthur. Free childcare is available for the morning session only, but children must be registered.
