Mission2Military (M2M)

mission to militaryOur mission is to Connect, Affirm, Respect and Equip (CARE) military members and their families.  We want to come alongside offering friendship, affirmation and respect, while providing Christ-centered direction and resources to equip them for the challenges associated with military life. M2M also helps military members and their families get connected to the Washington Heights family. We especially want to C.A.R.E. for those with family members deployed for military service by offering a GO Group for military spouses. If you are a military family member, in the military, or if you would like us to encourage someone in the military through this ministry, please contact Pam Sams at pam.s@theheightscommunity.org

Moms in Touch (NOT CURRENTLY MEETING)

moms in touchCome and meet other moms who pray for their kids and learn how devoting one hour a week in prayer can make a difference in your life, as well as the lives of your children and their schools!

Moms in Touch is an interdenominational, nonprofit organization where two or more moms simply gather together for one hour a week to pray.

We experience how to replace anxiety or worry with peace and joy by praying specifically and scripturally for children and schools. The Word of God is powerful and effective when we pray (Isaiah 55:11)!   Won’t you join with us in prayer for this next generation?

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

mops - mothers of preschoolersThe purpose of MOPS is to reach out with love to all moms of preschool age kids, because they matter to God and to us.  These groups exist to celebrate motherhood, meet needs, and experience God’s love and care through relationships and resources. We welcome any mom; from expectant moms to mothers with infants through kindergarten. During most meetings, children are cared for in a program called MOPPETS, where they experience love in a preschool-like setting.
